Character Artist

We are looking for: A strong concept artist and illustrator who can bring our games to life with beautiful character artwork. We offer creative independence and the ability to learn and grow your skills by working on a game’s aesthetic elements from start to end. We want someone with a strong creative eye and the ability to do hands-on art and design work. If you are a good fit, we’ll give you a great package as well as ESOPs.

Responsibilities/ Domain: As a Character Artist, you will create stunning concept art for the game’s characters and then illustrate them in detail. You must have a strong visual sense for creating and executing on highquality concepts and artwork. You will work directly with our Creative Director.

We need you to:

  • Create quick and detailed drawings and paintings of characters, but also environments, buildings, vehicles and props on occasion (including creation of thumbnails) 

  • Use traditional and technological approaches to create designs in 2D and 3D through drawing and painting • Efficiently interpret briefs 

  • Research topics and information for points of reference and ideas to use in your designs 

  • Meet pre-determined deadlines and provide updates to your supervisor

Requirements:

  • A creative eye and artistic vision – we are looking first and foremost for an artist

  • Ability to prototype using Adobe Suite or equivalent digital tools

  • A passion for gaming

Bonus qualifications:

  • Experience with a semi-realist art style

  • Worked previously in a fast-paced startup environment

The Location: With current circumstances, we are all working remotely for the next few months. However, we will eventually want you to be based in Bangalore.
